China Automotive power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released January 2023 power battery monthly data, data shows:
In terms of output:
In January 2023, the output of Chinese power batteries totaled 28.2GWh, down 5.0% year-on-year and 46.3% month-on-month. The output of ternary battery was 9.8GWh, accounting for 34.8% of the total output, down 9.3% year on year and 46.9% month on month. The output of lithium iron phosphate battery was 18.3GWh, accounting for 65.0% of the total output, down 2.5% year on year and 46.0 month on month.
Loading capacity:
In January, China's load of power batteries was 16.1GWh, down 0.3% year-on-year and 55.4% month-on-month. The load of ternary battery is 5.4GWh, accounting for 33.7% of the total load, down 25.6% year on year and 52.4% month on month. The loading capacity of lithium iron phosphate battery was 10.7GWh, accounting for 66.2% of the total loading capacity, with a year-on-year growth of 20.4% and a month-on-month decline of 56.7%.
In January, a total of 35 power battery enterprises in China's new energy vehicle market realized vehicle loading and supporting, consistent with last year. The loading capacity of the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies was 13.5GWh, 14.7 GWh and 15.7GWh respectively, accounting for 83.5%, 91.2% and 97.6% of the total loading capacity, respectively.
For export:
In January, Chinese power battery enterprise battery export totaled 7.9GWh. The export of ternary battery is 5.4GWh, accounting for 67.7% of the total export. The export of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 2.6GWh, accounting for 32.1% of the total export.
